Hey I’m Giorgi, everyone calls me Kirkita, natural wine enthusiast, producer and simply a wine lover. I collaborated with Rotel to create Natural Wine Lovers bar at the lobby. The wine card we created for you expresses my favorite sips around Imereti, these are carefully chosen bottles that will deliver you lot of joy and emotions.


Georgia’s natural winemaking tradition runs deep, and Imereti is one of its most exciting regions to explore. From well-known winemakers to fresh new names, every winery has a story to tell and a unique taste to share.


Here’s a guide to some of our beloved wineries you can visit. Whether you're a dedicated wine enthusiast or just starting to discover the world of natural wines, we encourage you to visit these wineries within a short drive from Kutaisi.

A place that gathers wine enthusiasts, locals and internationals, different people, winemakers or artists working for the same purposes. We Are Ghvino is a project that has existed for more than 4 years already  and has a new base location in Kveda Sakara. This is a place where you can discover many interesting wines from different collaborations, hear stories for their upcoming projects and just enjoy spending time there. Under We Are Ghvino you can experience Nebieridze Marani, Kouri Marani and many other exciting projects…

One of the first in the game and a true Legend of Georgian Natural winemaking, master of his work. His wines are well-known in the Natural Wine world locally and internationally and always carry elegance alongside complete characteristics of Western Georgian grapes. Always a great pleasure to see him at his place.

Giorgi Virsaladze Navenakhevi

A fresh winemaker and a very close neighbor of Ramaz. Giorgi’s Tsitska is really exceptional, do not miss the chance to try it if you visit Ramaz(Or vice versa).

Sopromadze Wine Cellar

Situated in the small town of Bagdati, their wines represent the true tastes of Imereti—always diverse in varieties, with a wide selection of different whites and reds. Gaioz or his son, Lasha, will always greet you in high spirits and deliver a very entertaining tasting experience in their cellar.

Archil Guniava Wine Cellar

Another big name on our list.  Archil’s family winery is located in the amazing village of Kvaliti near to Zestaponi. With Archil’s great knowledge of vinegrowing he became one of the best representatives of Imeretian Wines globally. If you have time do not hesitate to visit this winery and village itself.

Makaridze Winery

Keto & Gogita, based in Terjola, offer a wide selection of superb wines at their estate. Gogita has been a well-known winemaker for many years and played a significant role in reviving the renowned western Georgian red grape variety, Otskhanuri Sapere, as a bottled wine. While visiting, you can enjoy a fantastic lunch or dinner at their place, they run an amazing seasonal family restaurant called Rdzlebi.

Akaki’s Marani

The birthplace of the notorious Tsolikouri Rokhster (Wolfie), the Kvirikashvili family, led by Soso, could easily live self-sufficiently, as they farm nearly everything they need. Soso is always happy to host guests at his place. You can enjoy the stunning pergola vineyard and explore the rest of their farm. His exceptional vineyard and unique winemaking techniques are the reasons we all love his Tsolikouri.
